Donald Faison, Jeremy Sisto and Breckin Meyer were all 21 at the time of the release. Alicia and Britany Murphy were 18 and Murphy actually was a virgin who couldn’t drive.

Why Is Clueless Based on Emma?
Clueless is loosely based on Jane Austen’s 1815 novel Emma, with a modern-day setting of Beverly Hills.
The plot centres on a beautiful, popular and rich high school student who befriends a new student and decides to give her a makeover while playing a matchmaker for her teachers and examining her own experience.
