How old was Alicia Navarro when she went missing?

Alicia Navarro, a young girl from Glendale, Arizona was reported missing when she was just 14 years old.

The teenager who was described as autistic but high-functioning in her missing person’s report  left her Glendale home overnight on September 15, 2019, at just 14 years old.

Her parents, who were asleep when she slipped out of the house, found a handwritten note from their daughter stating: “I ran away. I will be back. I swear. I’m sorry.” the next day, according to KTAR News.

Her family did not hear from her again until July 26, 2023. Alicia Navarro walked into a Montana police station by herself and requested that her name be removed off the list of missing children.

The department notified Glendale police, who confirmed her identity and phoned the teen’s family to inform them that she was safe.

Many issues remain unexplained, according to Glendale police, who are investigating how the kid travelled to Montana and who she has been staying with for the last four years.
