Famous actor, Adeel Akhtar was 26 years old when he starred in Law & Order: Criminal Intent in 2006. It was his debut tv series and he played the role of Hazim in the episode Dollhouse.

Born on September 13, 1980, he began his career in 2010 when he starred in Four Lions by Chris Morris. Some of the movies and tv shows he featured in during the early stages of his career include The Angelos Epithemiou, The Dictator, Pan, and more.

He also appeared in the BBC one-off drama Murdered by My Father in 2016. He was the first non-white actor to win BAFTA Award for Lead Actor in 2017.
Before that, he starred in Channel 4’s Utopia as Wilson Wilson and bagged a nomination for BAFTA for Best Supporting Actor in 2015. Akhtar also starred in Capital, River, and more, that same year.
Akhtar plays the role of BBC Three series Back to Life which returned for its second season in 2021.
