Perry lost his fight to Daniel Rodriguez on April 10, 2021, via unanimous decision. He also began Bare Knuckle Fighting on October 26, 2021, after his UFC contract expired. He fought his debut match in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship in February 2022.
