Barbara Nicklaus, the wife of former American golfer Jack Nicklaus, was born in 1940. She is 82 years old.

Barbara Nicklaus was honored as the First Lady of Golf by the USGA in 2015 in recognition of her selflessness, lifestyle, and support of the game of golf.
Barbara and Jack met in 1957 while they were undergrads in Ohio. Barbara was a nursing student at the time.
They got engaged on Christmas day in 1959 and got married in July the following year.
The couple has 5 children and 22 grandchildren together.

“Barbara is full of love, like her mother. Her mother and father were dear people, and Barbara inherited those genes. She does everything that is right, including raising money for charity, and phone people when they’ve been sick”, Jack once said.
Barbara was Jack’s strongest supporter.
Nicklaus won the U.S. Amateur in 1959 and 1961 and finished second place in the 1960 U.S. Open.
His last tournament was in the United States Champions Tour’s Bayer Advantage Classic in Overland Park, Kansas, in 2005.
