99 per cent of the Turkey population is Muslim and approximately 78 per cent of which is Hanafi Sunni. Islam is the fastest-growing religion in Turkey according to the state.

Turkey is also a member of several international organizations, including NATO, the United Nations, and the G20. Turkey is a regional power with a geopolitically significant strategic location and currently ranks the twentieth-largest in the world by nominal GDP and the eleventh-largest by PPP.
