The American patriotic song “God Bless the USA” is mostly regarded as Lee Greenwood’s signature song and first appeared on his 1984 album You’ve Got a Good Love Comin’.

The song became popular again during the Gulf War in 1991 and following September 11, 2001, as well as during the 2016 and 2020 United States presidential elections as President Donald Trump’s rally introduction track.
Lee Greenwood recorded a new version of the song in 2003, released as “God Bless the U.S.A. 2003” which went on to sell over a million copies in the United States as of July 2015.
Lee Greenwood has charted more than 35 singles on the Billboard country music charts. Greenwood was awarded the MMP Music Award for his lifelong contribution to the music industry on May 19, 2018.
