According to a publication by Attorney Thomas Burton of Burton Law LLC, Bing Crosby left a cash gift of $150,000 to his wife Kathryn Grant Crosby. He also left cash gifts of $15,ooo to his niece Carolyn Miller and then to St. Aloysius Church, $5,000, Spokane, Washington, Gonzaga University $50,000, Gonzaga High School, $50,000. In addition, he gave all of his personal property to his wife, if she survived.

Born on May 3, 1903, Crosby was one of the most popular and influential musical artists of the 20th century worldwide.

From 1926 to 1977, he dominated record sales, radio ratings, and box office gross. He was one of the world’s first cultural icons.

Crosby was one of the wealthiest men in show business history, according to Shoshana Klebanoff. He owned real estate, mines, oil wells, cattle ranches, race horses, music publishing, baseball teams, and television stations.

He also made a fortune as a principal stockholder in the Minute Maid Orange Juice Corporation.

Crosby died on October 14, 1977, of a heart attack after a good game of golf at a course outside Madrid, Spain.

In 2006, the former Metropolitan Theater of Performing Arts (‘The Met’) in Spokane, Washington, was renamed to The Bing Crosby Theater.

Crosby is honored with three stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame; one for radio, one for recording, and one for motion pictures.
