Jalen Alexander Hurts is an American football quarterback for the National Football League’s Philadelphia Eagles (NFL). He played his first three seasons of college football at Alabama, where he was a member of the team that won the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship, before transferring to Oklahoma for his final year of eligibility.

Hurts, who was drafted by the Eagles in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, became the team’s starter near the end of his rookie season.

Hurts completed 17 of 30 passes for 167 yards and one touchdown in his first NFL start, leading the Eagles to a 24–21 victory. Hurts also added 106 rushing yards, giving him a total of 273 all-purpose yards.
Hurts finished with 338 passing yards, three passing touchdowns, 63 rushing yards, and one rushing touchdown in a 26–33 loss to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 15 on December 20, 2020.
