He reached three ATP finals in 2019, another three in 2020, and two finals in 2021, a total of eight consecutive runners-up out of eight ATP finals as well as the semifinals at the 2021 US Open.
He is the only player aside Novak Djokovic and John Isner to force Rafael Nadal into a five-set encounter at the French Open.
