Neves began honing his skills in Portuguese football at the early stage of his career at FC Porto.

He made his first-team debut at age 17 in 2014, and helped Porto win the Primeira Liga title.

Neves displayed his athleticism during his time at Porto, showcasing his long-range shooting skills. He additionally served as captain for the team in the 2015-2016 season, and was named the youngest captain in the history of both Porto’s and the UEFA Champions League.
In 2017, Neves made a move to the English Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers, for a transfer fee of £15.8 million, and helped the club qualify for the Premier League in his first year.
Neves has represented Portugal at various levels and participated in tournaments such as the UEFA Nations League and the UEFA European Championship.
