Stewart was a McDonald’s All-American, the National Gatorade Player of the Year, and the Gatorade Female Athlete of the Year in high school.

Stewart committed to play with Shanghai Baoshan Dahua of the WCBA for the 2016–17 Chinese season during her debut year. For the 2017–18 WCBA season, Stewart re-signed with Shanghai Baoshan Dahua in 2017.

Stewart joined Dynamo Kursk of the Russian Premier League in June 2018 and was later crowned MVP of the regular season of the EuroLeague Women.
