Who Is Mikel Arteta?
Mikel Arteta is a retired footballer and current manager of Arsenal Football Club in the English Premier League.
Born on March 26, 1982, in San Sebastian, Spain, Arteta began his playing career at age 16 with Real Sociedad in Spain.

He played as a central midfielder for various football clubs including Paris Saint-Germain, Rangers, Everton, and Arsenal.

As a player, Arteta won two FA Cups and two Community Shields during his time at Arsenal and represented the Spanish national team.
Arteta retired from the game of football in 2016, and worked as assistant coach to Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
In December 2019, he took up the role as head coach of Arsenal, replacing Unai Emery.
Arteta won many awards as a player, and as a manager, he has won the Premier League Manager of the Month on several occasions, plus the London Football Awards Manager of the Year in 2023.
