Peter O’Mahony primarily plays rugby as a flanker for club Munster and the Ireland national team.
The Irish player played amateur rugby at Cork Constitution, where he appeared in the All-Ireland League and won the 2009–10 All-Ireland Cup.

He also played for Munster at amateur level before he made his professional debut with the team in 2010. So far, he has appeared in 177 games, and scored 75 points for Munster.

Mahony also led Munster A to the final of the inaugural British and Irish Cup during the 2009–10 season.
He has also played for the British & Irish Lions, and was selected for the British & Irish Lions tour to New Zealand.
Mahony has served as captain of Ireland’s under-20s during the Six Nations Championship and IRB Junior World Championship in 2009.
In 2009, he played in Ireland’s U20 team, serving as captain once again, and was later named to the senior squad in 2012.
So far, he has made 97 appearances and scored 25 points for Ireland.
