Troy Polamalu is a former American football strong safety who spent his entire 12-year career with the National Football League’s Pittsburgh Steelers (NFL).

Troy Polamalu appeared in three Super Bowl Championships throughout his career. He helped the Pittsburgh Steelers win two of their three Super Bowl appearances – XL and XLIII.
Polamalu led the Steelers to seven playoff appearances in 12 years and five division titles.
Polamalu was the 2010 Defensive Player of the Year and finished the season with seven interceptions for one touchdown, a sack, and 63 tackles.

During his illustrious career, Polamalu was named to eight Pro Bowls, received First Team All-Pro honors four times, Second-Team All-Pro honors twice, and was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week seven times.
He has been named to the NFL All-Decade Team of the 2000s as well as the Pittsburgh Steelers All-Time Team.
He started 142 of 158 career games, had 32 interceptions for 398 yards and three touchdowns, 107 passes defensed, 14 fumbles forced, seven fumbles recovered for 120 yards and two touchdowns, 12 sacks, and 783 tackles, 583 of which were solo tackles.
