Who Is Mark Labbett?

Mark Labbett is an English quizzer and TV personality known for appearing on the popular game show The Chase.

Born on August 15, 1965, in Tiverton, Devon, Mark earned the name “The Beast”, after participating in ABC’s American revival.

Mark is so academically inclined such that after his studies at Bishop Wordsworth’s School in Salisbury, he earned a Masters degree in mathematics from Exeter College, Oxford.

He then proceeded to the University of Exeter to bag another Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and added a legal CPE and LPC qualification from the University of Glamorgan.

Mark has so far competed in many TV quiz show, including the three-part ITV series Sugar Free Farm, and he considers horse racing and soap operas as his weakest subject areas.

In 2012, Mark ranked number 89 in the World Quizzing Championships.

He has also been a winner on Channel 5’s BrainTraser and BBC’s SUDO-O.
