Opened in September 2020, the stadium is located on 298 acres and its campus is 3.5 times bigger than Disneyland.
Although, not the largest stadium, the facility is a component of Hollywood Park, a master-planned neighborhood in development on the site of the former racetrack.

SoFi Stadium is one of two stadiums currently shared by a pair of NFL teams, the other being MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, shared by the New York Giants and New York Jets.

The largest NFL stadium in the league, is the MetLife Stadium, with a capacity of 82,500. It is located five miles west of New York City serves as home to the New York Giants and New York Jets.
MetLife Stadium was named the “Greenest Stadium” in the NFL by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in 2009.
In July 2017, MetLife Stadium was named “Venue of the Year” by the Stadium Business Summit. The award is awarded to the world’s best stadium, arena or sports venue, that deserves recognition for an outstanding performance over a 12-month period.
