Wes Anderson, the highly acclaimed American filmmaker, has received several nominations for the prestigious Academy Awards throughout his career.

However, despite being one of the most respected directors in the industry, Anderson has yet to win an Oscar for Best Director or Best Picture.

To date, Wes Anderson has been nominated for a total of seven Oscars. His first nomination came in 2002 for Best Original Screenplay for his critically acclaimed film “The Royal Tenenbaums.”

Anderson’s next nomination was for Best Animated Feature in 2010, for his stop-motion animation film “Fantastic Mr Fox.” He received his third nomination for Best Original Screenplay in 2013, for his film “Moonrise Kingdom.”

In 2015, Anderson was nominated for Best Original Screenplay and Best Picture for his film “The Grand Budapest Hotel.”

While he did not win either of these awards, the film went on to win several Oscars, including Best Costume Design, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Production Design, and Best Original Score.

In 2018, Anderson received his fifth nomination for Best Animated Feature for his stop-motion animated film “Isle of Dogs.” While Wes Anderson has yet to win an Oscar, he has won 5 BAFTA and 2 Golden Globe awards.
