All members of the Notting Hillbillies are still alive except for guitarist Brendan Croker, who passed away on September 10, 2023.

Croker had suffered complications resulting from leukemia. He died at age 70.

About the Notting Hillbillies

The Notting Hillbillies first performed at a small club in Leeds, as far back as the 1980s, and later embarked on music tours.

Knopfler, who was the frontman, was known for his distinctive guitar work and soulful vocals which gave the band a signature sound.

The Notting Hillbillies’ music embodied a melodic blend of folk, country, and rock, characterized by storytelling lyrics.

Although, the band didn’t achieve much success but it was known for crafting authentic and heartfelt music that resonate with fans.
