Blake Griffin has had two surgeries. Griffin had season-ending knee surgery in January 2020 to address a soreness issue. He underwent his first surgery in April of 2019.

Griffin was the first overall pick in the 2009 NBA draft by the Los Angeles Clippers, and he has since been a six-time NBA All-Star and a five-time All-NBA selection.
Griffin was traded to the Detroit Pistons in January 2018 and will play for them until 2021. Griffin agreed to terms with the Brooklyn Nets in March 2021.

Griffin won four high school state championships at Oklahoma Christian School. Griffin played two seasons of college basketball for the Sooners before being drafted by the Clippers in the 2009 NBA Draft.
Griffin made his NBA debut as a rookie the following season, earning All-Star honors, winning the NBA Slam Dunk Contest, and being named Rookie of the Year. Sports Illustrated named him one of the NBA’s 15 Greatest Rookies of All Time in 2011.
