How many Grand Slams did Bjorn Borg win?

Björn Rune Borg is a Swedish former world No. 1 tennis player. Between 1974 and 1981, he became the first man in the Open Era to win 11 Grand Slam singles titles with six at the French Open and five consecutively at Wimbledon.

Borg won four consecutive French Open titles and is 6–0 in French Open finals. Borg had one of the most distinctive playing styles in the Open Era.

He played from the baseline, with powerful groundstrokes. His highly unorthodox backhand involved taking his racket back with both hands but actually generating his power with his dominant right hand,

letting go of the grip with his left hand around the point of contact, and following through with his swing as a one-hander.

With 11 Grand Slam titles, Borg ranks sixth in the list of male tennis players who have won the most Grand Slam singles titles behind Rafael Nadal (22), Novak Djokovic (21), Roger Federer (20), Pete Sampras (14) and Roy Emerson (12).

Borg won 64 career tournament championships in singles (sixth best) in 88 final appearances and compiled a 609-127 record, which on percentage (83 percent) ranks second best in history. He was the ITF champion from 1978-80 and the ATP Player of the Year from 1976-80.
