Christine McVie, an English musician, vocalits and keyboardist of Fleetwood Mac has died. McVie was born on 12 July 1943 and died on 30 November 2022. She was 79 years.

McVie wanted to be come an art teacher so she studied sculpture at Moseley School of Art in Birmingham for five years.
However, her career took a different direction after she met two friends, Stan Webb and Andy Silvester, who were in a band called Sounds Of Blue.
Aware of McVie’s singing prowess, they asked her to join Sounds of Blue, an offer she accepted.

McVie opted against having children.

In an interview, she explained her decision:
“There were never any children. There was always a career in the way. “It was a case of one or the other, and Stevie would say the same.”
McVie joined Fleetwood mac in 1970 after her marriage with the band’s bassist John McVie.
Prior to joining she used to contribute backup vocals and painted the cover for Kiln House.
Her addition to the band was timely as at the time, the band had just lost founding member Peter Green and members were nervous about touring without him.
McVie, had been a huge fan of the Peter Green-era Fleetwood Mac, and as a result, she knew all the lyrics to their songs so she went along.
McVie went on to become an important member of the group.
