Claude Giroux is a Canadian professional ice hockey centre who currently plays for the National Hockey League’s Ottawa Senators (NHL). Claude Giroux has 294 goals and 629 assists in 1,018 games played.

He previously spent time with the Philadelphia Flyers and the Florida Panthers. Giroux, who was chosen 22nd overall by the Flyers in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, was named team captain in 2013, becoming the team’s longest-tenured captain.
For seven seasons, he was the club’s leading scorer (2010-14, 2015-16, 2017-19, 2020-21). He finished third in the League in point scoring in both 2012 and 2014.
He finished second in the league with 102 points in 2018, trailing only Connor McDavid.

In April 2013, he represented Team Canada in the IIHF World Championship. In eight games, he had three goals and five assists. He was a member of Canada’s gold-medal-winning World Hockey Championship team in 2015.
He competed for Team Canada in the 2015 IIHF World Championship and was named Player of the Game in the team’s victory over Team Russia in the Championship’s final game.
