Beginning in January 2018, Moore initially joined the Wolverines as the tight ends coach, marking the onset of his journey.
Over the span of three seasons, he honed his skills, eventually transitioning to the role of offensive line coach in 2021. His adeptness in coaching the offensive line bore fruit, clinching consecutive Joe Moore Awards for the nation’s best offensive line in 2021 and 2022.
Notably, Moore assumed co-offensive coordinator duties in 2021-2022 before ascending to the sole offensive coordinator position in 2023.

His contributions extended beyond coaching, as he took on the mantle of interim head coach for four games during the memorable 2023 national championship season.
Fast forward to January 26, 2024, Moore’s trajectory took a monumental turn as he was officially appointed as the 21st head coach in Michigan football history, succeeding Jim Harbaugh.
With this new role, Moore embarks on a fresh journey, his tenure as head coach just sprouting.
While Moore’s total involvement with the program spans six years from January 2018 to January 2024, his leadership as head coach is in its infancy, marked by only a few days since his appointment.
