Each tournament will be a three-round, 54-hole contest with 48 players and no cuts. The events feature shotgun starts (every player starts at the same time but at a different hole) and a team element. The individual event will be scored as usual, by stroke play.

How does LIV Golf work?
Players will be divided into 12 four-person teams based on a draft conducted the week of each event.

In LIV Golf, there are 12 captains who will draft three teammates each week. Over the course of the three-day tournament, the two best stroke-play scores from the first two rounds count toward the team totals.
How does the LIV Golf team format work?
Each team will have a LIV-appointed captain who picks their teammates that week. Scoring: The individual event will be scored as usual (stroke play).
The team score will be the sum of the best two scores from the first two rounds, plus the best three scores in the final round.
