So, what does an F1 driver do when he’s racing at 230 mph, putting up with 6g cornering forces, wearing a fireproof outfit, and realizes, “Shit man, I need to pee!” Damn! Since stopping the car and using the restroom isn’t an option if they want to keep their professions racing the fastest cars in the world and earning millions of dollars.

They simply pee while wearing their suits. There are no fancy tubes or systems. Nothing. They practically wet themselves.

Lewis Hamilton, the five-time world champion, also stated in an interview with The Mirror that drivers are supposed to urinate in their suits. “You’re meant to go in your suit, but I can’t do it,” he was quoted as saying. It’s something I’ve never done. However, some drivers do.

Because the temperatures in the car are so high, it is thought that even if the drivers do get wet, the suit will dry in nearly no time. For the scent, a little Gatorade or water over the suit and no one would know what happened.
