Tage Thompson is an American professional ice hockey player who currently plays as a centre for the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League (NHL). Tage Nathaniel Thompson was born in Phoenix, Arizona on October 30, 1997.

Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Tage Thompson grew up playing ice hockey. He played for the USA Hockey National Team Development Program before committing to the University of Connecticut to play college hockey.

While at the University of Connecticut, Tage Thompson appeared in all 36 games during his freshman season at UConn in 2015–16.

In his freshman season with the Huskies, Thompson scored 18 goals and 27 points in 36 games, earning him a spot on the Hockey East All-Rookie Team.

Tage Thompson later signed an entry-level contract with the St. Louis Blues and joined their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Chicago Wolves.
