How Did Ricky Bibey Die?

On July 17, 2022, Bibey was found dead in a hotel room in Florence, aged 40. Bibey is reported to have been found by hotel staff on the morning of July 16.

Bibey was found alongside a seriously injured 43 year old woman. The woman is said to be receiving treatment at the Italian city Careggi hospital.

The pair according to reports were staying at the four-star Hotel Continentale, in Florence having arrived in the city on Friday night.

The police and forensic teams arrived at the scene after the hotel staff alerted them. Investigations are ongoing to identify what transpired that led to the death of Bibey.

Bibey’s former clubs including Wigan and St Helen paid tribute to him.
