Michael Fassbender’s motor racing career began a few years ago when he met fellow actor Patrick Dempsey on a long-haul flight from London to Los Angeles.

“I was following motorsports, and I was congratulating him on a good result at the 24 Hours of Le Mans,” Fassbender said in the news release. “We just started talking about getting into racing, and then he made the contact to Porsche Motorsport.”
