Karl Urban is best known for being an actor. Karl’s biggest roles include Éomer in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Dr Leonard “Bones” McCoy in Star Trek (2009), William Cooper in RED (2010) and Judge Dredd in Dredd (2012).

After enrolling at the Victoria University of Wellington for the Bachelor of Arts program, Karl left to pursue a career in acting after one year.

In 2007, Karl Urban starred in the Viking adventure Pathfinder. Karl Urban had a cameo as a stormtrooper in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in 2019. Karl Urban had his first Hollywood role in the 2002 horror film Ghost Ship.
