American actress, comedian and singer Jane Lynch is completely deaf in her right ear. On a July 19, 2013, episode of The Late Late Show, she speculated to Craig Ferguson that her deafness was most likely caused by a high fever as an infant.

However, Lynch did not discover this until she was seven years old when she was playing with her brother and a transistor radio.

Despite her issues, Jane Lynch has had a successful career in both film and television. She has appeared in several popular movies, including The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Role Models, and Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.
