James Corden is an outspoken English comic actor, writer, and television personality best known as the host of The Late Late Show with James Corden and for starring in the BBC sitcom Gavin & Stacey.

James Kimberley Corden OBE was born on August 22, 1978, in Hillingdon, the United Kingdom to his parents Margaret Corden and Malcolm Corden. He was raised alongside two siblings Ruth Corden and Andrea Henry Corden.
James Corden’s father was a musician in the Royal Air Force band and a salesman of Christian books while his mother was a social worker. He went to Park Middle School and Holmer Green Upper School. He initially gained recognition after starring in the British television series Fat Friends as Jamie Rymer from 2000 to 2005; the role earned him a nomination for the 2000 Royal Television Society Award for Network Newcomer On Screen.

James Corden won the BAFTA Television Award for Best Comedy Performance for co-starring in Gavin & Stacey from 2007 to 2010. He has been a host of the Brit Awards, the Tony Awards (2016, 2019) as well as the Grammy Awards (2017, 2018) and A League of Their Own on Sky One.
James Corden has made appearances in Gulliver’s Travels (2010), Into the Woods (2014), Kill Your Friends (2015), Peter Rabbit (2018) and its 2021 sequel, Cats (2019), and The Prom (2020. He has been nominated for 22 Primetime Emmy Awards, winning 9 in total, including for The Late Late Show, Carpool Karaoke and hosting the 70th Tony Awards.

James Corden was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire in the 2015 New Year Honours for services to drama. He is presently residing in Los Angeles, California, with his family.
