Prominent Hollywood producer, Stephen Emery, tragically passed away on Saturday, Oct. 14, after a gym session in Los Angeles. He was only 46.

Both Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the news, mentioning that the exact cause of death is still to be disclosed.
Big Swell Entertainment’s CEO, Andy Horwitz, expressed his grief in a statement given to the media outlets, stating, “Stephen’s sudden departure has left all of us who had the privilege to know him deeply saddened.”

Horwitz continued, “Beyond being an exceptional producer, Stephen was a cherished friend. His enthusiasm for cinema was only surpassed by his zest for life. He truly embraced each day, living it to the fullest. His adventurous soul, unwavering loyalty, and genuine love for life will be profoundly missed. Farewell, dear friend.”

Fellow collaborators, Tai Duncan and Dave Brown, jointly expressed their sentiments, saying, “Throughout our careers, Stephen was not just a brilliant producer but also a close confidant. We’ve always been motivated by his vivacious approach to both filmmaking and life.”
They added, “It’s shocking to hear of his passing, especially recalling how he resiliently overcame a heart attack during a triathlon in 2018. The industry will deeply feel his absence, but his enduring friendship and spirit will forever be celebrated.”
