Gautam Shantilal Adani is an Indian business magnate. With a net worth of 155.8 billion USD as of September 2022, he is the richest person in India and Asia, as well as the second richest person in the world, trailing only Elon Musk.

Gautam Shantilal Adani enrolled for a bachelor’s degree in commerce at Gujarat University, but dropped out after the second year.

After he dropped out of university in 1988 and he founded a commodities export firm. He was a billionaire by 2008.

Adani’s fortunes skyrocketed during the Covid-19 pandemic after he purchased large stakes in Mumbai International Airport and Softbank’s renewable energy unit.
