Dominick Cruz is an American mixed martial artist considered to be one of the best UFC fighters.

In March 2010, he won the WEC Bantamweight Championship, and in December of that year, he won the inaugural UFC Bantamweight Championship.

Cruz successfully defended the belt twice in 2011 before suffering an injury sustained during exercise in 2012, which resulted in his title being stripped in 2014.

However, He reclaimed the bantamweight title on January 17, 2016, with a split-decision victory over T.J. Dillashaw.

This victory was dubbed the greatest comeback story in MMA history by numerous media outlets.

Dominick Cruz currently competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in the Bantamweight division, where he is a two-time UFC Bantamweight Champion.

Cruz has also competed for World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC), where he held the title of WEC Bantamweight Champion. He is ranked #8 in the UFC bantamweight rankings as of May 2, 2022.

Cruz normally attacks with a variety of combinations, step-in jabs, and single strikes thrown from various angles. Cruz has extensive amateur wrestling training in addition to his striking.
