Devin “The Dream” Haney defeated George “Ferocious” Kambosos Jr by unanimous decision to become the undisputed lightweight champion of the world by taking the World Boxing Association (WBA), World Boxing Council (WBC), World Boxing Organization (WBO) and International Boxing Federation (IBF) titles.

How did Devin Haney become champion?
Haney won almost every round and showed his intention from round 1.
As soon as the first bell rang, Haney imposed his strategy and carried it out until the last second of the fight.
Haney started with the jab handling, he threw the jab, then by legs he came out, threw the jab again and finished off with the right.
On the surface, the strategy looked quite simple and easy to counter but in reality, it is very difficult to execute and even more difficult to counter.

In fact, Haney’s strategy was so complicated that Kambosos looked stunned throughout the fight.
Kambosos looked very desperate, he could not cut the distance, he could not connect combinations of more than two punches.
In the end, the judges scored the fight: 116-112, 116-112 and 118-110 all for Haney and with this victory, he becomes the best lightweight fighter in the world.
