Actress Claire Foy broke her elbow after she fell over during a wedding ceremony.

The incident occurred about three months before she appeared in The Crown as Queen Elizabeth II.

The broken bone had caused a swelling in her arm and posed some difficulty for her while on set.

Who Is Claire Foy?

Claire Foy is a British actress born 16 April 1984, in Stockport, England.

Foy schooled at Aylesbury High School and later proceeded to Liverpool John Moores University, where she studied Drama.

She also bagged a Diploma at the Oxford School of Drama.

Claire Foy Career

Foy made her acting debut when she starred in the comedy series Being Human (2008).

In 2021, Foy appeared in the BBC production, A Very British Scandal.

The same year, she was cast as Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg in the drama series Doomsday Machine.

Foy has appeared in several movies including The Girl in the Spider’s Web (2018), Season of the Witch (2011), and First Man (2018).

Others include “Unsane” (2018), Top Girls, Watership Down, Easy Virtue, DNA and The Miracle, Little Dorrit, Upstairs Downstairs, and The Promise.

For playing the role of the young Queen Elizabeth II in the Netflix series The Crown, her fame increased on the global stage and won her the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.

Foy has also won numerous awards, including two Primetime Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards.
