Devey gained a fortune when she founded Pall-Ex, a palletized freight network. Pall-Ex was the third palletised goods delivery network to be developed in the United Kingdom, in 1996.

It was built on the well-established hub and spoke express parcels delivery mechanism, which Palletline pioneered in 1992.

Pall-Ex processes around 8,000 palletized consignments each day through its Leicestershire hub, has over 90 network members, and annual revenue of £59.947 million.
