Hilary Devey was an English businessman and a television personality. Hillary established a million-pound business empire for herself after launching Palm-Ex in 1996.

Hilary suffered from a stroke in 2009. After her recovery, She revealed on ITV’s ‘This Morning’ in 2014 that she initially assumed she had a headache, stating, “I took two paracetamol and drank some water and went to bed.”
“When I awoke the next morning, the pain was severe.” I was trying to pack for a business trip and I couldn’t seem to get my luggage packed… “I couldn’t figure out what was wrong with me.”

Hilary went on to say that her arm had gone “totally dead” hours later, and when she slumped in the shower, her son dialled 999, believing she’d had a stroke.
“I lost a third of my brain… and I guess it took me six months to come to terms with it,” she said of the damage caused by her stroke. I didn’t have the energy to accomplish anything.
Hilary was awarded the CBE in 2013 for her business career and charitable work. Her charitable activity included serving as vice president of the Carers Trust and as a patron of the Stroke Association.
