Herschel Walker is a former American football running back, bobsledder, and mixed martial artist.

Walker is regarded as one of the greatest college football players of all time, ranked No. 1 by Bleacher Report, 247sports, and Sporting News, and No. 2 by ESPN.
Walker began his professional football career with the New Jersey Generals of the United States Football League (USFL), before joining the National Football League (NFL), initially with the Dallas Cowboys.
Walker was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1999.

D.I.D is a condition in which a single person displays multiple distinct personalities known as alters, each with its own type of behavior. For Herschel, it started a long time ago when he was a physically challenged first grader in the rural town of Wrightsville, Ga.
In an interview, Walker recounted his struggle with D.I.D.
Walker said;
“I was a little bit overweight, and had a stuttering problem.”
“I used to be afraid of the dark; I was scared to death of the dark. I remember as a little boy, I used to go outside to play real hard; my nose would bleed.”
“I don’t know what that was. And I couldn’t run; I had these big old knots that swelled and stuff on my knees.”
Walker continued;
“I didn’t love myself. I didn’t love who I was.”
“Having a stuttering problem, kids picking on the way you spoke, picking on your weight.”
Walker read out loud to himself everyday until his speech got better.
Walker also made a daily workout routine in junior high school, which normally included 1500 push ups and 2500 sit-ups!
Before Walker knew it, his strength surpassed everyone he knew and it paved the way for his journey into sports.
