Native American professional ice hockey center Henry Boucha lived from June 1, 1951, until September 18, 2023. Between 1971 and 1977, Boucha participated in both the National Hockey League (NHL) and the World Hockey Association (WHA).

He played for the Minnesota Fighting Saints of the WHA and the Detroit Red Wings of the NHL. He also played for the Kansas City Scouts and Colorado Rockies in the NHL. A Dave Forbes eye injury ended his career prematurely.

At two World Championships and the 1972 Winter Olympics, when he earned a silver medal, Boucha represented the American national team internationally. Both Boucha’s second cousin T. J. Oshie and his distant cousin Gary Sargent, who is a full-blooded Chippewa Ojibwa, have competed in the NHL.
