The situation has forced the displaced residents to seek refuge with relatives and neighbors who were fortunate enough to escape the storm.
Among the casualties are local schools, their classrooms now exposed to the elements. The roofs of several educational institutions, including Debibi Roman Catholic (RC) Kindergarten and Primary, Faith Preparatory Primary and Junior High, and Debibi Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Primary ‘A’, lie in tatters.
Books, educational materials, and the hopes of young minds now face the vagaries of the weather.
But the disaster spared no sacred spaces. The Debibi SDA Church, the Capstone Church, and even the palace of the late Chief of Debibi, Nana Nangor, suffered roof damage.

These structures, once symbols of community unity and resilience, now stand vulnerable, their very foundations shaken.

Officials from the Tain District Assembly and the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) have descended upon Debibi to assess the extent of destruction.
Their presence brings a glimmer of hope to the displaced, as they work tirelessly to understand the full impact of the storm and chart a path toward recovery.
While friends and families have opened their doors to those affected, the road ahead remains arduous.
The victims appeal to benevolent individuals, organizations, and the government for aid. Urgently needed relief items can help these displaced families regain a semblance of normalcy—a warm meal, a dry place to rest, and the promise of rebuilding.
