Boston Celtics’ vice president of public relations Heather Walker was married to Stephen at the time she died. The pair share two daughters Taylor and Samantha.

Information about how Walker and her husband met as well as when they got married is not yet available.
Walker was diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma in July 2021 and died Wednesday, according to her family.
After Walker’s diagnosis, she joined a clinical trial that included a vaccine specifically designed to fight her cancer.
She also collaborated with The Jimmy Fund to launch her Move 4 Heather Challenge after being diagnosed with glioblastoma, a rare form of brain cancer, in 2021.

It asked individuals to accomplish something on their “bucket list” or something that affected them, photograph or videotape it, publish it on social media, and donate to the Heather Walker Fund.
The donations have helped support the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Since being established, the fund has raised more than $640,000.
When President Joe Biden was in Boston last year discussing his “cancer moonshot” plans to cut cancer deaths in half in the next 25 years, he met with Walker.
President Biden lost his son Beau to Glioblastoma.
