On October 22, 1982, Heath Miller, a well-known football player, was born.Miller’s prowess on the field gained him a scholarship to the University of Virginia, but a coaching change and the presence of Matt Schaub conspired to organize a position shift from quarterback to tight end. As a redshirt freshman in 2002, Miller was selected for the second team of the ACC, and following his last year of college, in 2004, he improved to the point where he was chosen as the Mackey Award winner. He graduated from UVA having caught 144 passes for 1,703 yards and 20 touchdowns.
