After staging a comeback victory against Karela United last week to halt a three-game losing streak, the Phobians were eager to maintain their positive momentum against Legon Cities. However, the home side showcased an impressive performance to secure all three points.

The match kicked off with both teams showing determination, but neither managed to score a goal in the first half.

However, Legon Cities came out firing after halftime, with Albert Yeboah finding the back of the net in the 50th minute and adding another goal just 11 minutes later.

The loss results in Hearts of Oak dropping to 10th place in the table, while Legon Cities rise to 11th position.

For Legon Cities, the victory comes as a relief after a draw with Samartex and a loss to Medeama SC. They will look to sustain their newfound momentum when they face Berekum Chelsea in their next fixture.

Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak will seek to recover when they confront Accra Lions in their upcoming home match.
