HBO has announced that it will release the prequel of Game of Thrones, House of Dragon this summer. The highly anticipated prequel to HBO’s fantasy will premiere on August 21.

House of Dragon is an upcoming American drama television series created by George R.R. Martin and Ryan J. Condal for HBO. It is a prequel to the television series, Game of Thrones and is based on Martin’s 2018 novel Fire& Blood.

The prequel stars Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Rhys Ifans and many more. The prequel already has the stamp of approval from author, George R.R. Martin, whose book provides the basis of the new series.
Fans of Thrones may take heart in knowing that the original series’ creators, David Benioff and D.S. Weiss is not involved in House of the Dragon.
