David Fitzgerald, a BBC presenter was abruptly taken off air yesterday after suffering major heart issues mid-broadcast.

David Fitzgerald has not confirmed he has left the BBC Radio yet. He was rushed to hospital for a medical examination, while stand-in Michael Chequer took over at the station.
According to Michael Chequer, David left the studio to get himself checked out. Chequer confirmed David Fitzgerald is absolutely fine, we will keep you and he will be back soon.
A BBC spokesperson confirmed that Fitz, as the presenter is affectionately known, “is recovering well at home and is hoping to be back on air soon”.
