The Aquaman sequel was completed in early January 2022, according to director James Wan. The director posted a behind-the-scenes photo with Momoa and Wilson. He captioned the photo, “And finally, finally, finally picture wrap on the actual last day of #Aquaman2 in Malibu with these two gents.”

He went on to thank the various crew units from the United Kingdom, Hawaii, and Los Angeles. Fans should expect to wait a time before seeing the video, according to the director. After all, a superhero film requires a significant amount of special effects.

“I have a long way to go before it’s ready,” Wan continued, “but I can’t wait to share this tiny film with you all.” The DC sequel has been pushed back to March 17, 2023, due to delays caused by COVID.
Amber Heard, who portrayed the princess Mera, and Patrick Wilson, who played Arthur’s half-brother Orm Marius, are among the returning cast members, in addition to Jason Momoa. King Nereus will be played again by Dolph Lundgren, and Black Manta will be played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.
