Has Aphex Twin ever played live?

Richard D. James, a.k.a. Aphex Twin, delivered an electrifying live performance at the 2017 Field Day Festival in London. The set was streamed via NTS and featured a captivating blend of his signature soundscapes. The visuals were directed by weirdcoretv.

In a more recent event, Aphex Twin graced the stage at Field Day Festival in London in August 2023. The full gig was captured in 4K, showcasing the unique and wonderful music that only Aphex Twin can create.

While there are no concert dates scheduled for Aphex Twin in 2024, fans continue to eagerly await any future live performances by this legendary artist.

In 1992, James also released the EPs Digeridoo and Xylem Tube EP as Aphex Twin, the Pac-Man EP (an album of remixes of Pac-Man music) as Power-Pill, two of his four Joyrex EPs (Joyrex J4 EP and Joyrex J5 EP) as Caustic Window, and Analogue Bubblebath.

Aphex Twin’s 1992 debut album Selected Ambient Works 85–92, released by Belgian label Apollo, garnered wider critical and popular acclaim. On 3 June 2017, Aphex Twin performed at the Field Day festival and released a limited edition EP, London 03.06.17.
