Morty is portrayed by Harry Belden in the debut episode in a manner that is very similar to the original version. The animated series’ two new lead voice actors were eventually unveiled in the Rick and Morty season 7 premiere, although their names aren’t as well-known as viewers might have anticipated.

Justin Roiland, the star of Rick and Morty, was charged with domestic assault in January 2023, and Adult Swim severed its relationship with the actor. Dan Stevens, a moderately well-known actor who starred in the 2017 live-action Beauty and the Beast remake as well as the 2014 film The Guest, took his position on Roiland’s other show, Solar Opposites. But because of his distinctive roles in Rick and Morty, replacing Roiland was more difficult.
